LAGUNA BEACH – RFP – Banner Competition

The City of Laguna Beach Banner Competition is a project of the Arts Commission. Artists are provided with banner material on which to paint original artwork. The completed banners are displayed on lampposts throughout the City of Laguna Beach during June, July and August and celebrate the summer season. The completed banners are temporary and will be displayed when and where the City desires for up to 7 years or
based on condition.

ELIGIBILITY: Artists must live in Orange County, CA.

BUDGET: $3,000 will be awarded to all completed banners selected

DEADLINE: March 4, 2019

ORANGE COUNTY – RFQ – John Wayne Airport

John Wayne Airport, Orange County (JWA) invites artists or teams to submit qualifications for a design/fabrication opportunity for incorporation into an outdoor sculpture viewing plaza at Terminal C of JWA’s Thomas F. Riley Terminal. A single original piece of site-specific ground mounted artwork is being sought for purchase. The selected artwork will be located outside of Terminal C windows in the indoor pedestrian walkway between Terminals B and C and adjacent to the Departure Level sidewalk at Terminal C Valet Parking.

ELIGIBILITY: Open call to artists living in the United States

Health Related Emergency Grant for Women Artists

Women’s Center for Creative Work announces a Health Related Emergency Grant Program for Women Artists. The goal of this grant program is to provide more $30,000 in grants to artists who have a medical or dental emergency or have an illness-related financial need. Additionally, each grant recipient can also obtain 3 hours of consultation (case-management) within 3 months of receiving the award. This service will be provided by social work consultant, Tricia Smith, MSW, in order to make recipients aware of any resources or programs for which they may be eligible. Tricia Smith can meet in person at the Women’s Center for Creative Work, over the phone, or via Skype. The first three non-recipients who request this service will also be eligible to receive up to 3 hours of consultation within 3 months of notification. First come, first served.

ELIGIBILITY: Professional artists of all disciplines who live in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside and Orange Counties and identify as one or more of the following: female, person of color, or low-income.

DEADLINE: March 31, 2016

GRANT AWARD: Artists are eligible to apply for up to $3000. Typical grants will be between $2000-$3000.
