INGLEWOOD – RFP – Web Services for Public Art Education Website

The City of Inglewood seeks proposals from public art web designers or firms to provide technical and biannual updates of its public art education website The selected contractor will assess the existing site. recommend a work plan to implement updates of the web site pages and map and, on approval, perform the work plan. The selected contractor will be working with the City’s Public Art staff and coordinating with the Information Technology and Communications Department staff to implement the project. The selected firm will work in two phases: review the website and develop a work plan to update the website, create an enhanced downloadable map and, on written approval, implement the accepted proposal in beta then final mode. The City has allocated funding for a one year contract.

ELIGIBILITY: Digital art and web professionals in the Pacific Time Zone. The successful applicant will be offered a contract and must get a City of Inglewood Business Tax Identification at time of contracting.

BUDGET: $10,000 has been allocated for this work, although cost is not the primary factor in awarding the contract.

INGLEWOOD – RFP -Growing Artists Performed Projects

The City of Inglewood, CA invites artists working in performed or time-based media to submit a Proposal for Creative Services to Inglewood Growing Artists’ Performed Projects (IGAPP). The City seeks to contract two separate artists or artist groups to create original time-based work to activate the newly restored Agee Playhouse, 714 Warren Lane Edward Vincent Park, Inglewood, or its environs.

ELIGIBILITY: Open to professional artists able to sign a legal contract (over 18 years of age and able to work in the US).

BUDGET: Each contract for creative services will be in the amount of $12,500 and include scheduled use of the Playhouse for up to twelve weeks. A public benefit must be provided in or around the 55-seat Playhouse with new lighting and sound systems, kitchenette, storage and restroom located among the Parks; mature trees and lush grounds.

CITY OF INGLEWOOD – RFP – Growing Artists Projects

The City of Inglewood invites professional artists applications to Inglewood Growing Artists Projects (IGAP), creative services contracts supporting original artistic projects providing a cultural benefit to the City. The City is seeking proposals from visual artists to create unique works of permanent art for the City Art Collection. We are especially interested in artworks for Inglewood’s Imperial Crenshaw Branch Library. Work may also be proposed for other city sites. Artists may apply to any funding level, but only one award will be made. For collaborations, a lead artist must be identified to receive and report on the funds. Artists are invited to attend a free How to Apply Workshop on Thursday August 6, from 6:30 to 8pm at the Inglewood Public Library Waddingham Lecture Hall, 101 W. ELIGIBILITY: This call is open to professional artists in the United States; Inglewood visual and performing artists are especially encouraged to apply.

BUDGET: Three visual arts contracts will be made: one at $25,000, one at $17,500 and one at $12,500. One performance or time-based art contract will be made at $10,000 with up to three months’ rehearsal space in Inglewood.
