COSTA MESA – RFQ – Segerstrom Center for the Arts

In RFQ on April 2, 2018 at 2:52 pm

In celebration of the newly redesigned Julianne and George Argyros Plaza, Segerstrom Center for the Arts seeks to commission an artist from Southern California who will create a temporary outdoor installation communicating the theme, “Connecting Communities Through the Arts.” The imagery is open to your interpretation, though we are particularly interested in highlighting the diversity of Orange County and the role that the arts play in uniting our community. The final piece will be displayed on one (or more) of our lightweight towers and installed on Argyros Plaza, where it will remain in place for 1-3 months.

ELIGIBILITY: This call is open to emerging and established Southern California-based artists aged 16+.

BUDGET: The total budget for the commissioned artwork is $3000, inclusive of the artist’s fee of $2500 and a budget of up to $500 for materials.

DEADLINE: Friday, April 27, 2018 at 11:59 PM (PST)

QUESTIONS: Emily Neely, Community Engagement Intern, Segerstrom Center for the Arts, (714) 556-2122 x 4216,  eneely@scfta.org
