The County of San Bernardino December 2nd Memorial Committee is seeking a qualified consultant or firm to assist with the solicitation, evaluation, and selection of and contract award to a designer of the December 2nd Memorial Project. The selected consultant or firm will work in conjunction with County staff and the Memorial Committee to perform required tasks.

BUDGET: Pricing – To be determined in consultation with the selected consultant or firm. The consultant or firm selected to manage this process will be eligible to be considered to manage the installation of the memorial.

LOS ANGELES – RFQ – CURRENT:LA Site Coordinators

The Department of Cultural Affairs has an exciting opportunity for up to 15 Site Coordinators to assist with CURRENT:LA Water, an inaugural Public Art Biennial that is presenting temporary public art installations and cultural programming in publicly accessible locations throughout the city of Los Angeles from July 16th to August 14th. The Site Coordinators will have a rich understanding of public art practices, serve as a docent engaging the public, and act as a steward to volunteers, local organizations, and community members.

ELIGIBILITY: The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate experience with project coordination, and possess strong leadership skills; have knowledge of contemporary public art practices in Los Angeles; have relevant professional experience with community engagement. The candidate must have a professional disposition and positive attitude; possess strong communication skills; bilingual fluency is desired; employ exemplary time management strategies; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task; and abide by City protocol.

BUDGET: Stipend hourly rate of $23.26 per hour (or internship opportunity) will be provided. Ability to work part-time, up to twenty-four (24) hours per week is required. Must be willing to work some evenings and most weekends. Must be able to attend a Mandatory Orientation on either Monday, June 27th or Tuesday, June 28th.

The Los Angeles County Arts Commission seeks innovative and proven professional Art Consultants (Consultants) to manage civic art projects commissioned by the County of Los Angeles for Developer Delivered County Capital Projects.

ELIGIBILITY: The prequalified list is open to professional art consultants residing in Southern California, defined as Ventura to San Diego Counties, who have demonstrated successful completion of both permanent and temporary large scale civic artworks and that are reflective of the diversity of LA County.

CITY OF GLENDALE – RFP – Public Art Master Plan Consultant

The Glendale Arts & Culture Commission (ACC), an advisory board to the City Council of the City of Glendale (City), is seeking proposals from consultants or consultant teams with specific experience in public art master planning for the purpose of developing a Public Art Master Plan (Master Plan) for the City. The selected consultant will work with the ACC and the City to gather and use broad public and City involvement in the creation of the Plan. Proposals should include information demonstrating recent experience in public arts planning, community stakeholder outreach, and municipal coordination.

ELIGIBILITY: Review the RFP for details

BUDGET: The applicant’s fee proposal/budget should cover all expenses of the consultant to conduct a needs analysis, elicit community input, synthesize this research within the framework of best practices, and publish the final Master Plan that is endorsable by ACC and the City Council.
