CLAREMONT – RFP – Transit Art in Parking Structure Restrooms

The City of Claremont invites artists and artist teams to submit proposals for a site-specific indoor public art installation to be exhibited in and around the restrooms inside of the parking structure located on First Street in the western portion of the Claremont Village. The project will include both restroom facilities and all exterior entrance walls. The exterior wall treatment may include, but is not limited to, mosaic tile, ceramic tile, relief, a painted mural and/or a combination of all mediums. In the case of any raised imagery (i.e. relief), it can extend no more than 6” (six inches) off the original exterior wall surface, with the exception of the exterior bench wall, which should have no raised imagery.

ELIGIBILITY: Open to regional, professional visual artists or collaborative artist teams at least 18 years of age. City of Claremont employees including consultants, Public Art Committee members and City volunteers are ineligible to apply.

BUDGET: The budget for this project shall not exceed $10,000.

DEADLINE: Thursday, June 15, 2017, 5:00pm
