CITY OF NAPA – RFQ – Dwight. H. Murray Plaza

In RFQ on May 21, 2016 at 12:16 am

The City of Napa has issued an RFQ for the conceptualization and creation of public art as part of the Dwight H. Murray Plaza improvement project. Constructed in 1974, the Plaza is currently an underused civic space in downtown Napa. With the intensification of retail development in the immediate area, the City has initiated plans to redefine and reactivate the Plaza, one of the most visible places in the downtown area and a traditional gathering place for community events. It is the City’s intent to select one artist or artist team to conceptualize and produce unique art elements that activate the Plaza and serve as visual landmarks for this newly designed civic space.

ELIGIBILITY: The RFQ is open to professional artists residing in the United States who have experience in design team participation and/or conceptualizing and creating artwork for public spaces.

BUDGET: The total project budget is an amount not-to-exceed $200,000

DEADLINE: June 24, 2016 10:00 p.m.
