LA VERNE, CA – RFP – A Community of Friends and David and Margaret Youth and Family Services

A Community of Friends (ACOF), a non‐profit affordable housing developer, along with David and Margaret Youth and Family Services (D&M), are seeking a local artist to design an outdoor artwork installation for a new housing development in La Verne, California. The development, Cedar Springs Apartments, will house transitional age youth (TAY) and low‐income families, and will be comprised of four new buildings on the current D&M campus. David and Margaret Youth and Family Services’ mission is to empower children, youth and families through culturally diverse services that foster emotional, educational, spiritual, and identity development. Cedar Springs Apartments is striving to achieve Living Building Challenge (LBC) Petal Certification through the Living‐Future Institute.

ELIGIBILITY: Sculptors, muralists, and any artists with experience working in permanent materials, such as murals, mosaics, metals, masonry, and stone are encouraged to apply.

BUDGET:  $56,000 (all inclusive)
