In RFQ on June 10, 2014 at 9:36 pm

The City of Santa Monica Cultural Affairs Division seeks submissions from interested
photographers for an exhibit of photographs taken at/during Glow 2008, 2010 or 2013, to
be displayed in the Event House Gallery at the Annenberg Community Beach House.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The aim of the show is to capture a sense of the ephemeral and unique coming together
of thousands of people to experience the art installations and performative artwork
throughout the “Glow Zone, on the beach, in Palisades Park, and on the Pier.
Photographs must have been taken at Glow, on July 19, 2008, September 25, 2010
and/or September 28, 2013. Selected images will capture the unique qualities of the
event, the art, artists, people, the beach and city and convey a sense of the night. All
photographs must be ready-to-hang and a framed size no larger than 30”x40”.

Although prices cannot be displayed, we will make known that the artwork is for sale
and direct all inquiries to the artists.

ELIGIBILITY: Submissions for this exhibition are open to all photographers based in Los Angeles
County, who attended GLOW 2008, 2010 and/or 2013 and took photographs during the
event(s). Photographs from the exhibition may be included in a catalogue produced in
conjunction with the show and artists whose work is selected will be asked to provide a
self-portrait snapshot.
