METRO LA – RFQ – Silver Line

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) invites artists to apply for public art commissions at 5 stations on the Metro Silver Line. The Metro Silver Line combines service on the dedicated busways along the 110 Freeway (Harbor Transitway) and Interstate 10 (El Monte Busway), with additional connecting stops through downtown Los Angeles. Exciting art opportunities for the LA County + USC Medical Center Station, 37th St/USC Station, Slauson Station, Manchester Station, and the Rosecrans Station have been identified.

ELIGIBILITY: Artists legally authorized to work in the United States (per U.S. Department of Labor) are eligible for these projects. Artists must have also successfully completed at least three outdoor public art commissions with a minimum budget of $20,000 per project as the lead artist.

DEADLINE: Submittals are due by 5:00 PM on Monday, November 25th, 2013. This is not a postmark date, it is a deadline for receipt of hard copy submittals. Late submittals will not be accepted. Electronic submittals will not be accepted.

BUDGET: Budgets range from  $20,000 – 90,000. See RFQ for details.
