SAN FRANCISCO ARTS COMMISSION – RFQ – Southeast Community Facility Public Art Project

The Southeast Community Facility (SECF) is an existing building located at 1800 Oakdale Avenue in the Bayview Hunters Point neighborhood of San Francisco. The building is owned by the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC). The building is home to a City College campus, as well as a number of social service agencies and non-profits. The building is undergoing extensive internal renovation, including renovation of a large atrium area off of the entry lobby. There are a lot of opportunities for an artist to influence the renovated space — download the RFQ for more details.

ELIGIBILITY: Eligibility is open to professional artists residing in the United States.

DEADLINE: Monday, August 26, 2013, 11:59 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time (PDT)

BUDGET: The total budget for the commissioned atrium artwork is $100,000, inclusive of all artist’s fees and expenses for design, fabrication, transportation and installation.
